APC Primaries: Massive turn out in Bama and Maiduguri

Residents of Bama LGA of Borno state came out in their numbers to vote for President Muhammadu Buhari in the APC Presidential primaries which was held peacefully across the country.
Electorates started gathering in the early hours of Friday to vote for Mr. President, women were gathered in their numbers singing songs of praises and prayers for President Mohammadu Buhari and displaying posters of the president. Registered Members of the All Progressive Congress APC gathered according to their wards displaying their membership cards and patiently casted their votes.
Speaking with the Northeast Zonal and State Coordinator of National Committee of Buhari Support Groups (NCBSG) Hon. Babagana Ajari who expressed joy and happiness by the turn out of people, he said this shows the love and support our people have for Mr. President.
“We are very happy with the way Mr. President is handling the security issues in the country especially the Northeast and we are grateful for making it possible for my people to come back and settle in their ancestral home. I see no reason why we will not show our appreciation by coming out to vote him, and come 2019 he will surely win Insha Allah.”
Bama is one of the worst hit during the 9 years insurgency in Borno state with many lives lost, families separated, properties worth millions burnt and destroyed. This year over 6000 returnees willingly returned home. Reconstruction has already began as normalcy is being restored.
