Speaking about yardsticks such as party Loyalty, trust of the incumbent Governor, relationship with key stakeholders which may be critically considered at the intra-party level and beyond, he said,” First and foremost, let me say this: I am fit to make Borno a better place. Why? Because the party to which I belong that is the APC under the leadership of our great leader Alh. Ali Bukar Dalori in the state is an impartial, fair and credible one.
On the trust of His Excellency, Hon. Kashim Shettima,I think firstly I need to remind you I’m currently a serving commissioner under his people-based Government. But importantly, the governor is a type of person who treats all even before the declaration of our aspirations equally and fortunately he still does the same.perhaps much more than before but never less from all indications.
And for the party Loyalty, I’ve been a one-party politician ever since I started my political career to the stage where we had to merge up in order to form what we now call APC.So I am a very loyal, responsible and active party member and for the stakeholders both in politics and business are confident about me for the long standing good relationship we’ve built over the years.”
Talking about how economy of the state can be revamped Hon. Babagana Tijjani Banki added that,” Borno state economy can effectively be revamped if we improve massively on the security of lives and properties of people which the Government of the day is working assiduously towards.
Afterthat it’s important to understand that the economy of our state to a large extent survive at the heart of our political leadership. Therefore, having achieved peace and stability, we can develop resources decentralization structures that will enable fast and efficient flow of economic activities. In that line, there’ll be encouragement for both internal and external investors to harness opportunities which will definitely be in the interest of our people. There and then, our education and infrastructural development agenda would have a fertile ground for proper growth.”
In conclusion he responded to a question on his expected reaction to the outcome of his party’s primaries where he said,” APC is a family and we consider it quite progressive and patriotic to concert supports to any of us(the aspirants) who wins at the end of the day inasmuch as it’s the will of the people which shall certainly be In Shaa Allah.”
